Seven students arrested following Tuesday's fights at Northeast/Northwest High School | Crime
Seven students were arrested following Tuesday’s fights inside the cafeteria at the Northeast/Northwest High School at the Frederick Douglass Campus.
The Rochester City School District says there was a fight in the school cafeteria around 1:00p.m. Tuesday. School staff worked to break up the fight, but district officials say the school called police when the fighting continued outside. While trying to break up the fight, Rochester Police say 50 students became involved and the group refused to disperse.
Police say a total of seven students were arrested. Sixteen-year-olds Anthony Jackson and Chantel Brown and 17-year-olds Orson Delacruz and Nathanael Hernandez were charged with disorderly conduct. Three juveniles were arrested and released to their parents. The schools have also taken disciplinary action against students who were involved in the fighting.
