World War veterans return to warm welcome from thankful citizens

When thousands of soldiers returned from war decades ago, their return was nothing like Sunday’s warm Rochester welcome.

Hundreds of people gathered at Rochester International Airport this morning to greet over 40 veterans -- and it was an emotional welcome to say the least.

Francis Pearson, a veteran, told us, “Those memories were pretty, were Hell. But being here is a different story.”

Family, friends and complete strangers gave several veterans a welcome home they never received.

“He got off a train and he was picked up by his dad. There was no one there to cheer him on or to thank him,” supporter Emily Williams expressed to us.

But after a two day trip to Washington D.C. -- they came home to open arms letting them know that their service will never be forgotten.

"Bully" film brings hundreds with emotion to Little Theatre

The Rochester community got its first chance to see the film "Bully" Friday night, and the film's emotional message left everyone in tears.

"You could hear everybody was sobbing the entire time. It was very emotional," said Tina Morril, who came to see the film.

The documentary shows real-life footage of children who are victims of bullying

"Oh my goodness, it was the saddest movie I've ever seen. It was definitely a great movie, but definitely very sad," said Devalise Santos, a teenager who was at the debut of the film.

"It was most significant when we saw the little boy Alex who is being beaten up on the bus, and the names he was called. And the simple fact he didn't realize we was being  bullied he thought these people were his friends," said Tokeya Graham, who went to see the film with her family.

Graham's son, Kirk Scott, told News 10NBC his reaction after sitting through "bully."

"I am troubled.
