U of R student to compete on reality TV show in Korea | News

This month, a student from the University of Rochester will head to Korea to compete on KPop Star – an American Idol-style reality TV competition.

Brian Shin – class of 2015 – was chosen from a pool of 400 people during auditions in New York City.
 
After Shin made it past the first round, show producers came to the U of R to capture Shin’s life on campus. That’s where they shot footage of a student flash mob dancing to Gangan Style. The producers liked what they saw and allowed Shin to compete on the show.

Shin will head to Korea in October for filming.
