Rochester Police officer shot in the line of duty to return to work Monday
A Rochester Police officer shot in the line of duty will return to work on Monday.
Sergeant Daniel Brochu will give his first role call as sergeant on Monday.
Brochu was promoted to sergeant last December. He and Officer Luca Martini were shot while investigating a home invasion in 2009 on Driving Park Avenue. Both were shot by Nixon Elian. Elian is serving at least 71 years in prison. An accomplice, Marquis Parker is serving 60 years in prison.
Officer Martini is still recovering and has not returned to work.
